- Protea Hotel Hazyview - the standard room unfortunately cannot accommodate a third person; therefore, the third person rate is no longer available.
- Protea Hotel President has re-issued STO rates for their non-sea facing rooms due to having availability. Please contact our Head Office to acquire the new rate.
- Protea Hotel Livingstone - Sleeper couches have been removed from their bedrooms and will hence only be able to accommodate 2 pax.

Protea Hotel Edward, in Durban will be installing new lifts from 20 January to 13 March 2009. The inconvenience to GUESTS will be kept to a minimum and one lift will still be available at all times. Unfortunately, there will be no working lift from the basement parking area during this time.

Protea Hotel Franschhoek, in the beautiful Franschhoek Valley, will commence construction of an extra 40 rooms in March 2009.

Protea Hotel Fire & Ice!, in Tamboerskloof, Cape Town, is currently undergoing an extension - building an additional 60 rooms and 12 Loft apartments, a Wellness Centre and a LARGE swimming pool. Completion date - July 2009.

Protea Hotel The Winkler, in White River, Mpumalanga, is open for business and ready to welcome GUESTS to this fine location for the discerning business, conference and leisure traveller. The hotel recently underwent a R26.4-million refurbishment, giving all 87 rooms a total overhaul, replacing water systems and completely refurbishing bathrooms and bedrooms. All the public areas, including the dining buffet, bar, lounge and kitchen have also been redone, ensuring that this destination stays ahead of the times and at the cutting edge of comfort and convenience. A Boma,
for external entertainment, has also been built. The new exterior walkway,
kitchen, dining room and buffet areas are already operational, as are the
lounge and bar areas. Work will also commence on the conference facilities
in January 2009 and will be completed by July 2009.
