The famous Boulders and Windmill Beaches are situated at the largest mainland African Penguin Colony in Southern Africa, just 10 Kilometres from the Cape Point Nature Reserve.
This area is part of the Cape Peninsula National Park. Almost 3000 African (jackass) penguins, so called because their call resembles the bray of a donkey, reign supreme amidst rounded rocks and fish-filled False Bay. These endangered, flightless birds are free to roam the seas and return to their private haven - Foxy Beach at Boulders. Boulders, obtained its name from a cluster of large granite boulders breaking the coastline, providing numerous sheltered coves and reefs.
If you would like to share your special wedding ceremony with the penguins and set in these amazing surroundings then this package is the obvious choice.
Yo u will be collected from your Hotel and driven to Windmill Beach for the ceremony. After the exchange of vows and photographs you will have the chance to walk over to Boulders beach for some interaction with the penguins.
You will have a choice to remain on the beach to enjoy a magnificent Deluxe beach picnic or your limousine will be waiting to escort you back to Cape Town via the scenic Chapman's Peak with Champagne served en route. We will book lunch at a superb Cape restaurant - a 5 course meal with wines served to compliment each course. In this way you will get to experience the best of an informal ceremony on the beach, followed by superb luxury and indulgence…truly a day to remember!
Please allow for one working day prior to the wedding to be spent in Cape Town, when the legalities and documentation will be done.

Cape Winelands is an absolute must as the region is one of breathtaking vistas and majestic mountain backdrops while being steeped in rich culture and history. Rolling vineyards and quaint Cape Dutch homesteads await you, as well as award-wining wine farms offering some of the country's best wines.
The Winelands are divided into various different regions, each offering their own 'wine route'. The most popular and well-known are Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Wellington and Paarl.
Not to be forgotten are the highly acclaimed wine estates in the Constantia Valley. Also located in beautiful surroundings with stunning mountain backdrops, the Constantia Valley boasts some of the oldest estates and homesteads along with award winning.
The wine farms of Stellenbosch are the closest in distance to Cape Town and are within a 45-minute drive of the city centre. This is the most well known wine region and is home to a variety of cellars- producing some of the country's most acclaimed wines. The town of Stellenbosch is a
university town and the oak-lined Dorp Street is home to museums and galleries as well as many student cafes and restaurants.
Wine tasting, cellar tours and stopping to enjoy the scenic beauty at the various wine farms could easily take a day or more, so it is advisable to have a rough idea of where you would like to go before you set out. Many of the wine estates have become very tourist orientated offering guided tours, gift shops and restaurants while at some of the small estates you may end up sitting in a rustic cellar sipping wines with the wine maker himself. Different experiences appeal to different people, but whether it's big or quaint you prefer you're sure to find something that appeals to you.
Stellenbosch is home to the first official wine route that was founded in 1971 - entrances to wine farms are clearly sign posted and wine may be purchased at all of the cellars. Both national and international delivery can be arranged.
Wine estates worth paying a visit to include Ataraxia, Neethlingshof, Delheim, Spier, Saxenburg, Welmoed and Delair to name a few.

Franschhoek - Wine Routes |
|
The Franschhoek valley was first settled over 300-years ago by the French Hugenots and the many guesthouses, streetside cafes and award winning restaurants demonstrate a truly French flair. Lying against the backdrop of the majestic Franschhoek and Drakenstein mountains, the town with its picturesque main street showcases antique stores and art galleries rubbing shoulders with bakeries and the chocolaterie. Franschhoek is also home to many festivals from the annual Bastille Day festival (14 July) to cheese, wine and olive festivals at various times throughout the year.
As with Stellenbosch, one could easily spend a day or two in Franschhoek wandering the main street, visiting the wine estates and dining at one of its eight 'Top 100' restaurants. To truly relax and unwind, consider spending a night or two at one of the many guestlodges, B&B's or self-catering cottages.
Wine estates worth visiting include La Motte, Boschendal, Chamonix and Cabriere to name a few.
Paarl & Wellington - Wine Routes
A number of other excellent wine farms can be found slightly further afield in the Paarl and Wellington areas. Once again, the towns are steeped in history and set against beautiful backdrops of mountains and vineyards. Pay a visit to Rhebokskloof and Simonsvlei or simply take a drive and enjoy the scenery.

Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa |
|
The tour commences at 08:30 in the morning and 13:30 in the afternoon. Head off to the wine-country via the N1 to one of the Cape’s first farming districts – Paarl. The town is set at the foot of the cluster of remarkable granite domes from which it takes its name.
Your first stop of the morning is the picturesque Seidelberg Wine Estate. Established in 1692 under the name Den Leuwenjagt, Seidelberg offers one of the most spectacular settings in the Cape Winelands. An informative cellar tour and wine tasting gives visitors personalized insight into the finer points of wine-making.

Ataraxia Wine |
|
After successive vintages where Kevin worked tirelessly to help establish the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley at the forefront of quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir production in South Africa, "going it alone" became the obvious natural progression for this studious, passionate winemaking perfectionist. "For anybody mildly ambitious, being a good jockey on someone else's horse is okay, but it's not the ultimate. Jockeying your own thoroughbred successfully is the prize."
"The immediate and crucial goal was to source grapes for Ataraxia's maiden 2005 harvest. The emphasis was to ferret out vineyards that were individual and unique, either because of location, age or viticulture practice, and consequently were able to express in the wines I want to make, a very real sense of place. I was tremendously excited about the grapes for 2005. They fulfilled the set criteria in all ways and more! There was an aura in each of these vineyards and the resultant wines have vindicated their selection in the best way imaginable. It was a fantastic way to launch the Ataraxia brand!
In the meantime, always intending to remain based in the Walker Bay, Kevin set about scouring the region in search of that special piece of land that would become the home to the ultimate South African vin de terroir. For this self-confessed terroiriste, this land acquisition has been a most important goal. "One cannot enter the Kentucky Derby on a donkey and expect to take home the prize money, even if you have the best jockey in the world on board. Unless, of course, you pump that donkey full of steroids and other performance-enhancing drugs!" After months of searching, soil testing and detailed analysis of potential sites, Kevin found and was able to purchase a 47 hectare "thoroughbred" piece of land in the convoluted foothills that flank the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley behind the coastal village of Hermanus.
Here Kevin pours his energy into expressing this newly acquired site's sense of place through four handcrafted wines under his new label, "Ataraxia" - Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot noir and a red blend (Serenity).
